Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is a common disease among newborns. In clinical, the neonatal jaundice needs to be observed dynamically so as to be found and treated in time. But the repeated abstraction of blood sample for analysis would not only bring the neonates to more annoyance, but also increase the workload and difficulties of doctors and nurses, and it is unable to be accepted by the parents. Nanjing Univ. of sci and tech. produced a non-invasive transcutaneous jaundice detector by absorbing the world advanced technology and innovating continually.

JH20-1C transcutaneous jaundice detector is a newly developed product. It is small in volume and easy to be handled. If the detector is put on the neonatal forehead, the transcutaneous concentration of bilirubin correlative with serum bilirubin concentration is determined instantly and accurately. It is especially suitable for screening and dynamic observation in the newborns.
